Access East Africa.

Life-saving care without borders.

A child’s country of birth should never determine whether they can receive life-saving care.

In East Africa

A path to care, across borders.

Access East Africa is a program of The Basic Needs Program based in Rwanda. It provides a pathway to specialized medical care for children with heart disease from countries across the East African region who otherwise do not have access to the treatment they need.

Without this support, many of these children will die waiting for care. This program gives the opportunity to access care relatively close to home.

By bringing children to Rwanda for care, Access East Africa connects patients and families with specialized medical services that may be unavailable in their home countries.

This is our newest program, and we need your help. Please consider donating to the Run for East Africa.
